Epilepsy Risk Score List

Below is a list of recently requested Epi Risk Scores. COI and Epilepsy Risk Scores are the most commonly requested scores for planned litters, puppy purchases and for stud consideration.  However in the last year, a general summary of all possible health issues has also become more commonly requested, in addition to the COI and Epi Risk Score.

-The scores are listed in date of request order (most recent at the top), although I only list the year of request.

-These scores are calculated using the Sharp method of PA on 5 generations.

PLEASE NOTE:  This list is simply a record of epi risk scores requested and the epilepsy risk score given at that time. It is VERY IMPORTANT to remember that ALL risk scores are subject to change over time due to new affected individuals being reported.  No conclusions should be drawn from the scores listed below regarding the status of the breed or any other area of concern. IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE CHART BELOW! 

 

*The average epi risk scores I listed on the right side of the chart are NOT the average epi risk for the Mudi breed.  Making the average epi risk calculation for the Mudi breed is much more involved.  Usually the same Mudi owners and breeders ask me for scores and COI's, etc., which means the average scores below are only the average of the people that asked me for scores, not the whole Mudi breed. Also there are Mudis/litters with very empty pedigrees included in these scores and they artificially lower the average risk. Litters or Mudis with half empty pedigrees would not be used to calculate the Mudi breed average epi risk. 

ALL are welcome to ask me for a COI, epi risk score or health information.  I do not ever turn anyone away.  I do ask that you be patient for a response however, as I am not always on the internet, sometimes for a week or more.  And of course if you have any questions, please ask via email or FB  Messenger.

EPI RISK SCORES FROM 2012-2013

Below is a list of all the official PA Certificates that I used to provide in 2012-13 (they were printed paper and sent via post or personal pick-up).  The date, certificate number and score were given here so that people could verify that the certificate issued was in fact given by me and the actual data is what is listed below and should be the same data listed on the certificate in question, as we lived then and now in an era of digital enhancement. I leave this list below so it can be used for comparison purposes with the scores given more recently above.
